Resilient Floor Maintenance Programs
Resilient floor maintenance is a process where a coating is applied to a floor and then maintained. When properly performed, the program helps protect against abrasion, staining, and soiling, the elements of routine wear and tear that daily traffic delivers. Maintenance programs consist of daily, interim, and restorative processes. Daily tasks include dust mopping, scrubbing, and burnishing. Interim tasks include scrubbing and re-coating high-traffic areas to restore the depth of the protective layer and improve appearance. Restorative processes include stripping and finishing the floor to rebuild the protective finish from the base.
