Hillyard Wins Prestigious Fleet Safety Award

The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) will recognize Hillyard who has continued to elevate safety performance during the group's Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition held on April 24-26, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) - The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) will recognize Hillyard who has continued to elevate safety performance during the group's Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition held on April 24-26, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
"The purpose of the Safety Awards program is to recognize those member companies that strive to make private fleet safety a benchmark of their operations," said Carol Heinowski, Logistics Manager, Safety and Compliance for Meijer, Inc. and Chair for the NPTC Safety Committee.
The NPTC/Lytx, Inc. Fleet of the Year Awards are presented to those companies whose fleets experienced the lowest ratio of accidents per million miles for the past year.
According to Doug Holland, Vice President, Distribution and Transportation for Hillyard, "our entire transportation team has done an outstanding job putting safety first. Our drivers are the most professional in the business. Chuck Amen, Manager Transportation Operations, has done an outstanding job developing processes, monitoring results, and communicating with drivers to achieve excellent compliance results."
