Hillyard Companies Support Local Children’s Discovery Center
Hillyard has committed $250,000 to sponsor the Hillyard Legacy Court within the children’s center.
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Hillyard Companies is proud to support Mosaic Life Care Foundation’s Children’s Discovery Center in downtown St. Joseph.
Hillyard has committed $250,000 to sponsor the Hillyard Legacy Court within the center. The exhibit will feature Hillyard’s history in St. Joseph, their basketball legacy, and their invention of modern-day gym finish.
Hillyard, a 116-year-old staple in St. Joseph, is committed to reinvesting in the downtown community. Hillyard recently expanded their facility on the former WireCo World Group property with a new 25-acre distribution center.
“As a fifth-generation, family-owned company, Hillyard is encouraged by the growth downtown has seen over the last decade and is excited about the positive impact the center will have on generations to come,” says Brett Carolus, Chief Administration Officer.
The Children’s Discovery Center, located in the historic Plymouth Building in downtown St. Joseph will include more than 15 core exhibits, a traveling exhibit, a birth to 18-month-old space, a rooftop Exploratorium, a gift shop, and concessions.
